Your Challenge:

In this role, you will lead their engineering team across four locations (Denmark, India, Portugal, Lithuania), partake in the projects yourself, leading by example.

You will report directly to their CEO and work closely with their Director of Products, your team, Customer Success, and testers to plan, execute, and deliver improvements, new features, infrastructure enhancements, and bug fixes.

Your impact:

Once you are familiar with Atobi and their current processes, they will rely on your expertise to propose and implement changes to their procedures, infrastructure, and system architecture.

You will actively participate in planning their roadmap, implement the features (infrastructure, backend, and frontend), mitigate challenges as they arise, and continuously grow your own and the team's capabilities over time.

Together with the team, you will further enhance how they leverage Claude code and Gemini CLI in each project and ensuring they benefit from any AI productivity advancements made.

Your contributions will make a visible impact at Atobi, and you will play a key role in shaping their future. Atobi expects that after a few years as Team Lead, you will transition into the role of CTO and become part of the top management team.

Who Atobi is looking for:

Atobi is seeking a high-energy individual with strong empathy and business acumen. Experience in a Retail SaaS Tech Company or an agency focused on product introductions/campaigns for retail staff would be a great asset.

Ideally, you have:

  • 7+ years total experience, with at least 2-3 years as a Senior Developer or Team Lead in an agile environment

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Strong expertise in designing, building, and maintaining highly available, scalable, secure, and reliable distributed systems.

  • Experienced in utilizing AI code assistants in the daily development flow

  • Capable of leading customer-facing projects and participating in customer meetings, explaining Atobi’s technology and planned roadmap (such meetings are rare, but the more senior you are, the more they will rely on you to help their customers with technical questions)

  • Very structured, analytical, and logical mindset, who loves to solve problems and help colleagues

  • Strong plus, if you also have:

    ○ Experienced in BitBucket pipelines, NodeJS, Postgresql, Azure Cloud, message queues, micro-service architecture, single page applications, vulnerability scanning/Cyber Security, and Infrastructure as code(GitOps). Knowledgeable of the most common AI service providers (primarily Mistral) and how to integrate their services into their customer-facing applications.

    ○ Knowledge of BI, data warehouse, ETL processes, and BI Dashboard technology
