We’re Hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to Shape the Future of Integrated Servo & Stepper Motor Systems
On behalf of our fantastic client JVL A/S, we are looking for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to work with the development of state-of-the-art integrated servo and stepper motor systems.
The products are used in a wide range of applications globally, e.g., aircraft manufacturing, industrial robots, automotive production, research, and packaging machinery.
You will become part of a dedicated engineering team responsible for the company’s current and future products. The role is versatile, working both independently and in close technical collaboration with your 10 engineering colleagues, as well as colleagues at the production factory (in the same building).

JVL A/S is a 100% Danish-owned company that has been developing and manufacturing stepper and servo motor controllers for use in robotics and industrial automation for more than 35 years.
JVL’s products are sold through a mixed network of the company’s own offices and distributors across Europe and the United States.
About the position:
You are a responsible and self-driven professional who approaches your work with diligence and a strong sense of accountability. You take pride in completing your tasks thoroughly and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date.
You are also expected to see things from the customer’s perspective and demonstrate a natural flair for delivering excellent customer service.
Your areas of responsibility will include, among other things:
Barebone embedded C (ARM) software development
Embedded real-time software (RTOS) development
Integrating industrial protocols into the Motors, mapping commands and objects
Digital control techniques – closed-loop
Debugging the code on the PCBs, testing, and measuring the electronics
Communication “debugging”, e.g., Wireshark for Ethernet-based protocols
The more experience you have within these areas, the better.
You will also have the opportunity to work with technologies such as: Safety functions, CAN and Profibus, MAX10/Cyclone (Intel/Altera/Lattice), ARM, TI Hercules, Lauterbach debugger, GNU, Keil, production testing, certifications (CE, UL, TÜV).

The ideal candidate for JVL A/S possesses:
You are an electronics engineer by education, and have a relevant IT background, or you are an experienced self-taught programmer. What matters most is that you are highly skilled in your work, primarily within embedded systems.
+3 years of experience in a similar position, where you have worked on the development of one or more industrial products, preferably within motor control.
At a minimum, you are expected to have a solid understanding of embedded software and hardware development.
You are skilled in programming in C, have a solid understanding of both hardware and firmware, and possess strong experience with embedded real-time software.
Experience and familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as CAN-open, Modbus, and industrial Ethernet protocols like Profinet and EtherCAT.
Fluency in Danish and English, spoken and written
You must have current residency in Denmark with the necessary work and residency permits in place before applying.
